Behind the Camera...

It's been a wonderful journey since I picked up my first camera and started snapping away at the age of 12. Of course a lot has changed since then. I've felt a reinvention of style and found inspiration in the people and surroundings around me. As I continue to delve deeper into this art, I've learned more about the beauty and complexity of life.

There's no doubt that this art is my passion and my outlet. I hope that what you find here is a familiar smile, a treasured hug, an excited leap of joy, an unwavering gaze, or even an intimate moment between a photographer and her subject.

Christmas Market at The Distillery District

Merry Christmas to all! I hope that it has been a wonderful year for you thus far. Most certainly the weather in Toronto has been up and down and last weekend was a major chilly one. But that didn’t stop my friends and I from trekking down south (we from up North, ya see), to experience some real Christmas celebrations down in the Distillery at the Christmas Market. The highlight of the event was all the treats. Wide selections of teas and treats.

We stopped off at Pure Spirits Oyster Bar to have a late lunch and then ventured through the nooks and crannies of the cobble-stone paved paths for some more yummy munching. The mulled wine definitely made my day. I have GOT to find the recipe to this! Winter up here is 4 months so that means 4 months of mulled wine! Woohoo! And even more delightful was finding the Chocolate Covered Bacon and Maple Syrup Cones. I was on a sugar high from that point on.

6 more days till we ring in the New Year! I truly hope you’ve all had a great 359 days and may the last 6 days of 2011 be crazy rockin’ with fun!
